Columbia University’s new Business School buildings and The Square, a one-acre open green space at the Manhattanville campus, have been selected as finalists for Urban Land Institute New York’s (ULI NY) Awards for Excellence in Development competition.
The annual awards ceremony recognizes construction projects in New York State for outstanding development, including in architecture and design, and for having a transformative impact on their communities. Projects can be eligible across nine categories: adaptive reuse, affordable housing development, institutional development, market-rate housing development, mixed-use development, office development, and urban open space.
Columbia Business School and The Square are among the 15 finalists, which include the Bronx Children's Museum, The Tin Building, Fotografiska, and Little Island. Winners will be announced and honored during ULI NY’s award gala on October 18, 2023 at Cipriani South Street.
